Curtain Wall Tests

CURTAIN WALL TESTS are supported by testing chambers of various sizes for curtain walls, window walls and façade systems in accordance with Practice Notes of the Buildings Department (PNAP106) and other national specifications including the American standards (ASTM), British Standards (BS) and Chinese Standards (GB).  RED is equipped with high precision, computerised equipment such as air flow meters, water flow meters, pressure gauges, displacement transducers, hydraulic jacks for building movement tests and propellers for dynamic water tests.

RED is also equipped with nine (9) testing chambers in our Hong Kong Laboratory, specimens up to 8.5 m wide and 16 m high or 13 m wide and 9 m high can be accommodated in the Hong Kong Laboratory. Moreover, in Zhaoqing Branch Laboratory, RED is also equipped the largest testing chamber in the worled with size of 130m (developed width) x 30m (height).
